Does prayer work for you? Have you found that prayer sometimes doesn’t seem to work? This week, Martin shared with us about how to Pray effectively, with compassion and love; to overcome barriers of lack of faith! This week, we also had Michael back with us, and a newcomer Daniel from Con3 class! WELCOME!!!

Part 1

In this part, Martin shares about praying with passion, with agreement and burden for people. Without people with the similar faith, prayer sometimes are ineffective because they are not in "agreement". Therefore Jesus in the book of Mark:5, raises the sick girl to life with only the parents and a few disciples in the room. The rest (unbeliving with lack of faith) were made to go out of the room. Martin also shared about how Mary intercedes for us according to the will of God.

Part 2 - "Pray for covering with the precious blood of Jesus"

In this part, Martin shares about the importance of praying for protection for all our loved ones, by the covering of the blood of Jesus. We also can pray effectively when we pray with compassion and love.

Fr Bruno shared abt the Parable of the Sower. God is the sower and we are the seeds. Even though He knows that some of us will reject him or grow up in bad soil, he still continues to sow the seeds nonetheless. This signifies his unconditional love for us.

Fr Bruno also talked about the Prodigal Son. About how the Father just embraced his prodigal son without scolding him.

He also mentioned about the 2 'patterns' which he drew on the board. #1 is we must do a lot of things and good deeds so that God will save us.#2 is that we already know and believe that God has already given us His Grace and that He loves us so much. We do not have to do things to earn His love as none of us deserved His love in the 1st place.

I, BELOVED: Youth Nite (March)

March 26, 2011 - Martin Fernandez from SACCRE (Singapore Archdiocese Catholic Charismatic Renewal), gave us a talk at the March Youth Nite, after a worship session. This was followed by a time of praying over, led by YAM's members!

To end off this nite, we had cheese-macaroni cooked by wonderful supporter, Aimai. We loved the delicious Macaroni!!!!

Hope everyone had a fantastic time during worship, prayer and fellowship! May you continue to discover our LORD in more ways than one during this season of Lent towards Easter!
